October 16, 2019 – First Consulting and SmartRules have recently joined forces. This step is in line with First Consulting’s ambition to become a European-wide consulting organisation in the coming years. Lexence has advised First Consulting regarding the acquisition.
First Consulting is providing services to leading customers in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in the areas of processes, business technology and change management. SmartRules is active in the Dutch and German market and is providing services to leading customers in the field of digitisation of processes through Pegasystems and Appian technology.
With the acquisition of SmartRules, First Consulting both strengthens its business technology pillar, as well as taking its first step into the German market. First Consulting and SmartRules will continue to operate as their own entities for the time being, with immediate collaboration from a customer and commercial perspective. Both the management of First Consulting and the management of SmartRules see this step as a great opportunity to be successful together at customers, and to drive further growth. With this step, the First Consulting group grows to 300 employees in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany.
